SOEC illegally overcharging for tickets

Just got my Keith Urban Tix and realized the SOEC is illegally overcharging HST on the tickets!!

Ticket Price $109.50
HST $13.50 (as stated on ticket)
Total Price $130.00 which would mean a $7 "service charge" (which they all charge-so not bitching about that.)

What interests me is that HST on $109.50 is $13.14!!!!! So they are charging an extra 36 cents on every ticket and calling it HST!! I would be interested in seeing if this is remitted to CRA as such.

36 cents does not seem like much, but for 5000 tickets, that comes to $1800.00 that I would bet never sees a remittance.

This might be an issue of the HST not being charged equally on all items. If only GST was charged on the service charge this works out to a $130 ticket. I don't know enough about the HST to say this is for certain but it makes the numbers work.

116.5 X 5% GST = $5.83
109.5 X 7% PST = $7.67
combined HST = $13.50

$109.50 ticket + $7 service charge + $13.50 HST = $130

Thinking about this further if the company hosting the Ticket Selling Service is located outside of BC, then the 7% provincial portion of the HST would not apply. HST can only be charged on services provided within BC, GST applies to services performed in other areas of the country.
