Slippery out this morning

Postby -fluffy- » Jan 5th, 2012, 11:23 am

There's been a steady wail of sirens since about seven this morning. Heard the highway junction near Kaleden was a gong show. I noticed it walking to work that anything in the shade was a sheet of ice.

Someone went throught the no post barrier and over the bank near the view point last evening just before 5 pm. I doubt they made it out alive. Crazy people after passing that were still out in the fast lane on the hwy passing. It was sheeer ice and no road maintenance.

Weird - I drove through there right around that time - before the accident, and I had no trouble at all. Mind you, I do use good winter tires and slow down a little when the conditions warrant it.

Article in the Herald this morning said the two 20-something occupants were unhurt, but had to be"extricated" from the vehicle.
