47 & 3 Wow keep it up. :smt023
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to under estimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

WOW What a game in Merritt! The Vees beat the Centennials 2-1 with 45 Seconds left in Double Overtime! The streak is now at 36 Straight Wins!!!

Let's get out to the SOEC Tomorrow Afternoon and support the Vees when they take on Prince George at 2pm! I can't wait for the game and to go Skate with the team after the game!

Big win for the Vees and a great win and a great way to win!

I loved Castanet's write-up on the Vees tonight. :ohmygod: Oh wait, no, they can't be bothered to write something up since we're south of West Kelowna.

Their coverage of the Vees also amazes me. A hockey team in their niche coverage area breaking a record every night they play and it's as if they hardly exist. Rather shameful.

The Vees will try to tie the all-time North American Junior Hockey Record of 40 wins tonight that is currently held by a team from Ontario. The Vees play Chilliwack at 5pm tonight. Let's get out and and support these young men as they continue to make history!

I was at this game and the crowd was loud through the whole game, supporting those Vees. What a great game and congratulations to the Vees on the NORTH AMERICAN record.

I can't believe this isn't on Castanet and I can't believe Castanet never had anyone at the game to report this and take photos. I know it's just the BCHL but this record is NORTH AMERICAN, not just BC or Canada.

While I understand the coach's logic, I am a little disappointed the full squad won't being playing the last two games in PG. Would be a shame to end this winning season with a loss. Would much prefer the end of the regular season to be the end of the streak. There is still plenty of talent so it may still happen though.

Well the Vees lost their final Regular Season game of the year ending their winning streak at 42 incredible games. I for one couldn't be prouder of this team and all that they have accomplished SO FAR this year! They finished with a record of 54-4-0-2 for 110pts. They set a bunch of records:

110pts a new BCHL Record
54 Wins a new BCHL Record
42 Straight Wins a New BCHL and CJHL Record
83pts by Mike Reilly in 51 games setting a new Modern Day Vees Pts Total by a Defencemen (The old one was held by Duncan Keith and Joey Laleggia at 82)
Gervais and Lucia sharing the most goals by a BCHL player at 42
Joey Benik finishing 2nd in the BCHL Points Race

However, now its time for the PLAYOFFS! They are going to be so much better this year in the BCHL with only the top 4 teams in each conference making the playoffs. Should be much more exciting hockey and every game will mean something. I for one can't wait for next Friday and Saturday when the Chilliwack Chiefs come to town for the Interior Conference Semi-Final. GO VEES GO! I hope everyone in Penticton Gets out to one or both of these games this weekend to show their support to these young men for their tremendous season so far and to help them win the first two games of their series with Chilliwack on their Road to the Fred Page Cup
