Hi there, I was wondering if anybody knew some good locations for ice fishing. Other than Yellow Lake. Yellow Lake is great for ice fishing, but it would be nice to have a change of scenery. I know of only Yellow Lake and Garnett Lake(?) up in Summerland, haven't been there yet, but. Somewhere with relativly easy access too. Anybody know some good locations around here?

If you get up in the mountains at this time of the year, I suggest you check out the road conditions 1st and that you know about shifting down!

I'm not sure but maybe Chute Lake up naramata?

Also, the summerland-princeton Road is burstling with frozen lakes all along the road and it's usually plowed and in good shape. Is there fish there? No clue!

Look at google map here:

As for Garnet Lake, I've heard the road is more a trail than a road...

It also looks like there's twin lakes just minutes south of yellow lake:

Hope this helps! I know more about fish on ice than ice fishing:

You could definitely walk on swan lake last weekend. There were ice fishing holes. Temps have gone up this last week so you might want to check with that info in mind.

Yellow Lake seems to be fished out. Haven't caught anything there this year. We usually make our quotea each year, 10-20 fish....We put them back of course. Apparently Garnett Lake you cannot ice fish on due some work being done. What about Dark Lake up behind Summerland? Have camped there before, just not sure about getting up there in the winter.....
On the other hand, ice fishing out here doesn't last too terribly long as we don't have much of a winter. So I'm sure it won't be too much longer until the ice on the lakes melt.
