Naramata Sewage
I see in the paper no swimming in Naramata.
Does anyone know if everyone is on septic out there or where does it all go? Do they have a sewage plant out there. A friend of mine who has now passed away said, one year the lake was so low that you could see the big pipe from Naramata's sewage draining into the lake. Just wondering how true this would be, certainly all people in town wouldn't be on septic.

The reason there's no swimming at a certain beach in Naramata is cuz of the goose poop.
Don't know anything about their sewage set up......

I have a few friends out in Naramata and NO there is not a big pipe draining sewage into the lake. Every property has it's own septic system (tank). There is no sewage plant. If you read the story about the beach closure on Castanet, it explains why the beach was closed.
