DAY-1
# Boeing-737 from Edmonton or Calgary direct to Penticton
# South Okanagan wine tour
DAY-2
# Kettle Valley Steam Train
# Summerland wine tour
DAY-3
# Paddle Wheeler to Naramata
# Wine tour from Naramata to Penticton
# Return flight from Penticton YYF to Alberta
Cost? Accommodation? Transportation?
Would be doable but tight for time if flights are not arriving early and departing late....
Better to fly in night before, relax with introduction/group wine & cheese reception...
and then leave day after .... lots of wineries to visit between Naramata to Penticton

Is this council and it's top employees nuts? Allowing that washed out ferry a place of berth in Penticton to rot like the Popeyes barge? Get rid of our city advisers! They probably are very smart people but are dumb as a male cows excess body solids.

Well Kelowna has lost on this one, but thankfully it is just down the lake and still going to run cruises... I wish them success!
Hopefully they will make it affordable .... not like the ones down by the sales nowadays.... have to take out a 2nd mortgage just to take the visiting relatives out for a 2 hour cruise.

Oh Omni, I don't think Kelowna has lost too much at all and I cannot think of a more fitting place for the Fintry Queen to move to, what awesome news! Just like the people there, the City of Penticton fits in perfectly for anything that wants to slow down, become stagnant and die. I give it one Summer before it is moored and left to rot in the waters of Penticton.... But being an optimist maybe it will be parked at the other end of the beach to mirror the other boat.
You have to keep an open mind until it is proven one way or the other. You just can't take the T.V. or internet word on it.

The report that I heard said that IF the boat doesn't work out down in Penticton, that Kelowna will take it back and break it up for scrap. I'm ok with that as long as the city of Penticton doesn't subsidize the venture in any way with tax dollars.

My prediction... It will never make a go in Penticton. Also what significance does it have there? It is a complete eyesore and will look ridiculous. It may never make it there anyhow, you would have to be a delusional billionaire to put the money up for this fantasy, Andy needs 600k and the thing needs to be certified. They already have the Casabella Princess, that is enough.
