Simple economics and peoples changing lifestyles are what killed the nite club business models. Kelowna's decline in this industry is no different than Penticton's.....just on a different scale. Besides, nite clubs are hardly a bell weather of the health or vibrancy of a community. People have simply chosen different activities and venues for their entertainment. One could even argue the demise of nite clubs is a result of communities growing up and having options to dark caves and pounding music so loud it is impossible to speak to the person seated next to you.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

We've also watched public attitudes towards drinking to excess change a lot over time as well, and like it or not, power drinkers are who make you the money in the booze business. You're not going to make much money off a room full of people each sipping at a single wine cooler for an hour.
