There's the United church downtown on Henry Avenue. They've got a hall that would be ample for 60 people. Not sure what the scoop would be on liquor service in that venue though.

Breakfast Club Catering out of Summerland. Can't praise them enough. We got married in June last year and they were definitely the most affordable (no hidden fees, mandatory gratuities. lowest cost per plate etc). Everyone at the wedding, about 100 guests, raved about how good the food was.

i am not sure if you're from here ---- are you familiar with Naramata?

there is an Anglican/United Church in the village
http://naramatachurch.ca/hall-rental/

there are some small motels and a the more-budget Naramata Hotel within walking distance

there is a beautiful park if you have young people who need to run off some energy - Manitou (RDOS manages it) - it has a swim beach and basic restrooms open at certain hours
http://www.rdos.bc.ca/index.php?id=132

there is also the beautiful OUTDOOR setting at the Ag Canada (can't think of what it's currently called) Research station in Trout Creek (just south of Summerland)

if you need a "let's get the two families and guests together" opportunity (ie guests are coming from afar and might like an outing) - consider the Kettle Valley Steam Train - it is incredibly scenic and can host all ages and abilities ---- http://www.kettlevalleyrail.org/

another thought for similar type of outing - Hillside Winery in Naramata - some people can walk or run or bike on the safe non-motorized part of the KVR (easy from the Lakeside Hotel on North Main St) ---- others if necess can drive on the road - restaurant on site =- I realize you have a budget - maybe it's worth a call if that's your kind of venue for an outing for your out-of-town and local guests of all ages.

congratulations to you - a very special time. enjoy the process : )

If you find a place and need a caterer, April Valentine is amazing. Affordable and will do what fits your guests. Not sure her max but PM me and I'll give you her number.

You have to keep an open mind until it is proven one way or the other. You just can't take the T.V. or internet word on it.
