The Deer
I think the deer would be successful being transported to the Penticton Indian Band Land. Transferring them would help the city AND the PIB residents. Why is everyone so bent on the deer being sent to Band land????
I think the transfer would help everyone!!!! So what if the PIB members get a shot at 'shooting' the deer!! It's their Right to do so, right? I mean, there are a lot of deer, and an over population isn't good, and PIB would take care of that.
An over-population of deer is something that needs to be taken care of, right? It's good for everyone!

Re: The Deer
OK, and we are just going to ask the deer to stay put?
Dear Deer,
Please stay put. And don't be playing with no Antelope either.
Yours truly,
CoP

Well, the farther up the mountain they put the deer, the less likely they will come back into the town area.

They will go where their food is.

Wait a sec ... Let's build deer gardens all around town and fence them in. No humans allowed.

Quit wasting time and money and get off the Bambie loving tree hugging tangent. Just shoot the damn deer already! Humans are the dominant species on the planet and we have opposable thumbs that can pull triggers for this reason. This whole issue has gone way to long !
Keep calm and wear your tinfoil hat.

While I would have to say the topic has reached analysis paralysis, the possession of opposable thumbs thumbs is hardly the trump card. That would make racoons equal to us in decision making. Besides that.....who pulls a trigger with their thumb???

Pardon me; I should have said functioning fingers. Deer are really just wolf food on the food chain. Why should tax paying homeowners be told what to plant in their yards to protect a bunch of animals that are so stupid they run in front of cars.
Keep calm and wear your tinfoil hat.

That's essentially what transporting them to the band land does. It is politically uncool to make headlines implementing a deer cull, but if you transport them over to band land and *wink, wink* feel free to take part in your traditional hunting rights then no emotionally charged headlines are made.

Sig·na·ture (ˈsignəCHər,-ˌCHo͝or/) n. a person's name written in a distinctive way as a form of identification in authorizing a check or document or concluding a letter.
Wonder what that means for every First Nations Treaty signed east of the BC border? A distinctive X? Am actually surprised it has not been a Supreme Court challege. Or has it?
Sorry, a bit OT but in the context of native hunting rights, is it?
