Penticton Fireworks TOP NOTCH

Postby KTownChick » Jul 2nd, 2007, 2:10 am

My god this was the best fireworks show outside of disneyland I ahve ever seen, and i've been to Kelowna's 15 years in a row. They had more fireworks than Kelowna ever has, more amazing choreography(sp) and everything was done perfectly. WELL DONE PEACH CITY!!!!!!!

They probably used Kelowna's too as they didn't need it this year. :127:

No doubt. I know where I am spending Canada Day next year.

Was the crowd pretty subdued dirtrider?? I took my kids to the Kelowna fireworks last year, and it seemed like the entire waterfront was an open bar. I couldn't believe the number of drunk idiots wandering around the waterfront.

Did anyone see the Osoyoos fireworks show? From what I read they were planning a pretty impressive display.

Didn't make it down there, as it is usually a nightmare....I usually watch from my balcony. I wonder if the word got out early enough for a lot of people. I found out 2:30 at Prospera when I was attending the show there.

The Kelowna ones were not used in Penticton. The City of Penticton would have had to purchase them from Kelowna because there is no way the city of Kelowna would have just given away 30,000 worth of fireworks. Most likely store them for next year. From what i heard, Penticton had a HUGE profit in the peach fest and everything that they were able to purchase a very large quantity of fireworks. Also, there is no way they would have been able to set up and coreograph the fireworks if they came from Kelowna. And the number one reason to know Kelowna's did not come over to Penticton..........The bridge would have been lifted for a tug to bring them to Penticton, and that was not done heh....
