Parent/Play groups?

Hello, I'm new to Vernon, and I have a 1 year old boy. I don't know many people here yet, and would like to meet some other moms with kids about the same age. If there are any existing groups that anyone knows of, I'd love to know how to find them. Or, if you're a mama in the same boat, you can always just get in touch with me and we can get to know each other!

Welcome : You have picked a nice place to live. Not very many Vernon folks use castanet , so I think you should ask around some other places too.

Thanks for the welcome! My sister, who is a doula in kelowna, found a group. I never know where to look for these things!

Check out www.meetup.com and put in Vernon for your search....I beleive there is a group of young moms already started...if not you could start one!!

There are a few pages on FB, one being Vernon Mom Meet Up Group, lots of moms doing play groups in their homes :)
