I would say BP in Vernon. It is WAY better than any of the other BP's around.

I've changed my mind cuz none of the main pizza places seem to stay consistent, so my suggestion is a flat bread pita pizza at Extreme Pita, you can build it to your liking and they put cheese on the bottom and the top, it rocks!!!!

Yes, although I am not a big fan of their pizza. Since you are heading to Kamloops this weekend, I will tell you there is a Vern's Pizza at the corner of Columbia St. and McGill Rd. (western side of Columbia Street).

There used to be Vern's pizza here in Kelowna on Harvey Ave. I recently went there for a slice only to find they closed and moved out of province.

Too bad.

PS: Wish we had "flying wedge pizza". That was some tasty stuff.

The last time I was in Vernon at the end of September (I live in Regina now but try to get back as much as I can), I noticed there was Vern's pizza right across the street from BP's.

Yes, it's been there for the last, oh I don't know, 12+ years!
I haven't had Vern's in about that long either. Too much stuff on their pizza. So much stuff that the centre is usually still cold. Yuck.
I wouldn't say any place in Vernon is stand out for pizza. Some is OK, some is horrible. If you can like homogenized franchised pizza that tastes like everything else, you will have plenty of choice. If you truly like real pizza made by somebody who has passion, you are out of luck. Franchise, big box, no choice is what Vernon is all about. Of course, back in the good old days, well, that is another story...........

Of course, if you are ever in Nelson, be sure to check out Medi-Pizza, just off Baker street on Hall street a few doors down from the Lordco Auto Parts.

I do have to say that my homemade chilli pizza beats all pizzas to heck! Homemade crust and chilli, add some cheese and some pinapple and OMG it's fabulous!! For those of you who say, ewww gross, don't knock it til you try it. My suggestion is to go with a veggie chilli and then add what meat you would normally put on your pizza. I have had many people make faces but once they try it, they are hooked :D

In a way that makes sense. One of our favorite pizza's is the Meateor from BP's and they use a bologenaise (sp?) sauce on their pizza
So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

I think veggie chili would be better as the grease and oils in the meat chili would cook out making the pizza extra greasey.

Veggie chili, done right (ie WITHOUT MUSHROOMS!) is really good and filling! :hailjo:
