Time to get with it!

Yes, I'm sure that's it. The cops just realized that everyone does them, so they just let him walk because it's pointless.

Take this same guy down to the U.S. and see what charges he gets; plenty! The US battles on wasting millions and getting nowhere on its "war on drugs".

There is no doubt that police in Canada have a way higher tolerance when they find recreational drugs on a person. Can you disagree with that?

...refusing to turn this into another drug war debate...

The party, in a gravel pit up Silver Star Road at Proctor Road, was attended by 80 to 100 youth with a few adults present. Most are students heading into grade 12.

"Numerous youth were checked, a number being driven by parents," added Molendyk.

"Police seized and destroyed a couple of cases of beer and some hard liquor. A small amount was returned to parents. Police also made several seizures of marijuana from a couple of youth."

Parents were called for the liquor and drug possession offences.

About a half dozen cars voluntarily turned around and went home when given the choice to do so.

Most are students heading into grade 12. The others are younger, and older. Grad party schmad party. It's a party for whomever is invited by the grads, as well as the crashers who weren't invited.

A number of youth, being driven by their parents. Now, we know why we are where we are at with our youth. Their parents drive them to bush parties to drink and do drugs, so they have a safe ride. That's quite ironic, don't you think?

Parents were called for the liquor and drug possession offences. Well, it's nice that they let the parents know so they can bail them out. Or, harshly punish them for messing around with drugs and alcohol? Or, convince them into rehab, since there's no legal way for a parent to get their kids off drugs while they are under their care.

About a half dozen cars voluntarily turned around and went home when given the choice to do so. Well, what else were they to to? No booze, no drugs equals no party. Wonder how many of those drivers were impaired when they drove off home. ( Mr. Journalist, how do you know they really went home?)
