Cosen's Bay is the best beach in Vernon... although, like Kal beach it's not actually in Vernon. Kin Beach is the best beach actually in Vernon. My Mexican friend, on the other hand, told me that there being many, many nice beaches in Vernon. Not sure how he figures that.

Come on. Kin beach and Paddle Wheel are severly polluted, Kal beach in not sandy it's filthy dirt. The others are at or below average. If you want a nice beach in the Okanagan you will have to go somewhere between Venon and Kelowna, mostly on the west side or South of Kelowna mostly on the east side. Bertram/Ellison/Fintry/Peachland/Paul's Tomb...to name a few.

Odd, we've been here for 4 weeks and we've loved the beaches!
We've been to Kal beach (Coldstream, Kalamalka Lake) a couple of times:

And we've been to Paddlewheel Park (Okanagan Lake):

I didn't find them to be polluted, crowded, or littered with dog poop.
We've spent a lot of summers in the Okanagan, and I prefer these beaches over many I've visited in Kelowna, West Kelowna, and in-between Vernon.
