No More Left Turns Into The Vernon Lodge

Anyone else notice the concrete median they were pouring on 32nd street infront of the Vernon Lodge last night? About flippin' time! 32nd is congested enough without having some knucklehead sit there for 7 minutes trying to make a left turn and back up traffic to main street.

Speaking of main street, would Victoria please correct the timing of that damn light so traffic on both sides of 32nd street don't plug up for 2 1/2 blocks for half the day? Sheesh!

I'd also like to see a median like this poured down the middle of 43rd Avenue where Kal Tire Place is. Following a Vipers hockey game, there are many vehicles who make an illegal left turn out of the parking lot via the exit on the west side of the rink. And from the parking lot at the horse race track. There's nothing like having a vehicle waiting and waiting and waiting to make an illegal left turn out of the parking lot with dozens of vehicles backed up behind it. There are signs indicating "no left turn" and yet many drivers ignore them. Until a median is poured, the RCMP could and should hand out reams of tickets following each game.

There's nothing like having a vehicle waiting and waiting and waiting to make an illegal left turn out of the parking lot with dozens of vehicles backed up behind it. There are signs indicating "no left turn" and yet many drivers ignore them. Until a median is poured, the RCMP could and should hand out reams of tickets following each game.

Like the RCMP would ever hand out a ticket for an illegal left turn LOL, just look at them with their speedtrap up at the Tel A Friend, countless cars making illegal left turns right infront of their noses from the DND grounds onto the highway but alas, not one gets pulled over.

But one has to make the point that they only 3 places along Hwy 97 (in town) can make a left turn without holding up traffic is on 25th, 39th and 43rd Aves and the only place you can make a left turn to get to the downtown core is where there are no lights.
