I agree. I won't be posting on that tangent any more.

Thanks for posting a "good" police story gramma.

Did they ever do a thing on the members in Kelowna that have been going around to the care homes over the last month in red serge playing Christmas carols for the residents?

I have spent a lot of time dealing with the public at my own expense. Keep in mind the topic.

Frankly, after your ignorant comments on this thread, I don't think most people really give a crap what you think.

However, pretty much all of this type of community participation is voluntary and completely on their own time.

What have you done this holiday season for your community apart form spew ignorant, condescending comments on here

All I hear is the bad rep the RCMP has, nice to see some positive pr. I sure hope these combustibles got paid, but I would wager they did not.

I doubt they did it while on duty. They probably did it on their own time. But maybe some were on shift.

Members march on Remembrance Day while on duty. You have a problem with that too? Or school talks? Bike rodeos for elementary school children? Helping little old ladies cross the street? Helping someone change the tire on their car?

Where do you draw the line on what is "police business" and what is not?

all of the above except RD parade and bike rodeos. Bike rodeos are and should be the responsibility of the parents
.I know the RCMP waste millions of dollars and time on BS like RD parades etc and that's ok I just simply do not agree

Merry christmas to you too!!
Well, you've managed to take a feel-good story of some hard working people, taking time out of their busy schedules to bring some joy into peoples lives, and twisted it around in your sick little mind. During the christmas holidays to boot, when people are supposed to be helping their fellow man (woman).
The saying "If you dont have something nice to say..." comes to mind, since none of us want to read the garbage spewing from you when we're wanting to enjoy the holidays.
