At first things were ahead of last year in the garden by quite a bit, now we're starting to fall behind. Peppers are stunted, cherries were about 3 weeks early (I think?) but now my blackberries look like they'll be two weeks behind last year, and my big tomatoes haven't ripened yet!

Is the warmer weather coming? We have a roof to put on and have just heard word our shingles are in - we need a stretch of dry to get that done.
I haven't failed until I quit.

You don't want hot weather to put shingles on. I'd wait until September if I were you.

We don't want to do it in full heat. But the shingles we have on the roof are completely shot and all this stormy weather is worrisome.

More calls for rain today. Let's see if they will get it wrong yet again!

OR.......IF you don't like the weather......drive 20 minutes due North, it will change.

Another beautiful hot sunny day coming on. Great for the garden and Woodenhead's mood.

I can't help but notice how early everything feels though. The only good thing to come of it is that I feel like we are going to get some grapes in before my holidays.

Here's another forecast that will probably fail to pan out...

Yesterday was the hottest day of year in many places. eg. Lillooet was 36.7C, beating the June high of 36.2C.
