Re: Weather Appreciation
Huh - in Rutland we're always on water restrictions - that I know of. I've always tried to water on my day, and not use too much (hubby grumbles about the water bill if it gets too high).
I am appreciating this cooler weather though :)

Re: Weather Appreciation
It's nice to see that it's not raining this morning. It rained all day yesterday (total of 19.6 mm of rain) and quite a lot the day before (total of 4.6 mm of rain). With the little bit of rain overnight, it's been about an inch of rain over the the weekend, or 25 mm. I'm ready for a little more dry weather!

Re: Weather Appreciation
We have to appreciate that certain parts of the country are getting less rain and becoming dryer.
Fort Mac is an excellent example of a city that did not appreciate and did not prepare for such conditions. Kelowna did the same thing a few years back. Protecting ourselves from fire should be an integral part of the building process.

Probably for a week or two. Some drought is healthy for the forests. May has had 10 times as much rain as April. May and June are historically the wettest months of the year, so unless we get a June like last year, things could be moderately wet until July.
The north needs a little rain though.

We're going to head out and get the gardens planted with stuff we have here. Good weather in Osoyoos yesterday, not too hot.

5 Matagami A, Que = 29.2° C
6 Chapais, Que = 29° C
6 Nagagami, Ont. = 29° C

At my age I"m never looking for hot weather. Ontario can keep it.
