OH Sure, rub it in, we're stuck at home and you're in the most awesome area of BC.
I hate you.

Fine, fine. Here is a picture from yesterday on the largest canoe/kayak only lake in North America, Murtle Lake. Probably the nicest sandy beaches you'll find anywhere in BC.

How about Hobson Lake? I've heard that there are canoes there. It would be nice to hike in and take a trip down the lake.

But was it an awesome four hours? And what were the barriers? Terrain? Trees?

I know rain was called for today, but am I ever glad it did not. We trucked a load to the dump today and have spent hours reconfiguring stuff. All month long August has been downsize city for indoor and outdoor stuff. The lack of real rain has been a major factor in the success of this month long project, for which I am so grateful.

Nice day out there today. But it can rain now.

It's interesting how the current hot and cold places in BC are right next to each other...

This hour's hot and cold spots ...
Hot spot in British Columbia: 18.4 °C (65.1 °F) Ashcroft
Cold spot in British Columbia: 7.6 °C (45.7 °F) Clinton

Since the last few days have brought everything from rain to hot sun to Kelowna everyone should be getting a few hours of the type of weather than they appreciate most each day. Except for snow and hail.

Here's an interesting fact: Penticton and Peachland had the driest August in all of Canada at 2.2 mm and 2.6 mm respectively.

That is interesting, since it feels like it was wetter in Kelowna.

Peachland & Penticton missed the thunderstorms on August 2nd in which Kelowna received 17mm.

It was lows of 3 degrees up Jackpine the last few nights. Fall came in pretty quick.
