No rain today, but the temperature sure dropped around noon. It was 24 degrees and smoking hot outside, and cloudy, 20, and cool a few minutes later.

Silver Star was cooler than we thought it would be. Pleasant trip, laid back place, so different from Big White. We will go back for the hikes and take the chairlift. $15/adult seems a bit steep but not compared to hiking up Milky Way. We turned back and went for lunch, then did Cross Mountain. Much saner.
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Re: Weather Appreciation
The lift is worth it. You get taken up into the alpine, and then you get to hike down. Much nicer than hiking up AND down. We were on the backside of Silverstar today shooting some guns and the bow (maybe 3 km away).

How about today? Did the rain by pass you?
Nope - Sunday we got dumped on. Fortunately after the roof had been sealed :) Had to wait 'til Monday to do the final row on shingles, the roof cap.

We haven't had rain for a long time so I decided to soak the law for a couple hours last night... and then today they tell me we might get a soaking of rain tonight... sorry, my fault!

I took all the rain to the Shuswap with me. We went boating and were at the opposite end of the lake when it started. It was coming down in buckets. You're welcome.

Microburst over Phoenix, AZ on Thursday, July 21, 2016. A microburst is a type of downburst, which is downdraft of cold, very dense air underneath a convective storm. When a downburst hits the surface of the earth, the winds spread outwards radially and can sometimes reach extreme speeds capable of producing major damage. This particular downburst may be one of the most visually impressive ever captured on camera.

It appears to be cooling down. Are we on the downward slide? And what sort of winter can we expect?

Not sure about winter, but it was 37 degrees in Squamish when I were there on Friday.
