and ya, you are gonna say prevent this or that, but maybe the REAL laws should be punishable with harsher punishments when they are broken, rather than a cash grab under the guise of trying to save/help people...

actually if you look speeding is the leading cause of road deaths on BC highways.
out of all the cash grabs possible its the one that should have the most time spent on it.

so when you say you deserved the ticket, did you break any real laws? Damage? injury/assault? fraud? If i am speeding i am not breaking any natural law. You will give me a ticket because the "Act" says you can, but in actually law, nobody is hurt, no property damaged and nobody was defrauded..... So where is the crime? and tell me it is not a money grab!

The fact remains, cash grab or not if an officer giving a ticket makes that person think twice the next time they are thinking putting the throttle down...the officer and the ticket have done their job. Further to that if that action, the thinking twice or the deterant it sets forth stops even just one collision or person from being injured....its for the common good.
