The vast majority of teachers don't do the sort of things that we read about in the following article but now that the BCTF is no longer in control of teacher discipline there's far more chance that teachers like these will be dealt with appropriately:

Meet 3 of BC's worst teachers

A science teacher stands out among the latest disciplinary decisions released by BC's Teacher Regulation Branch.
First, Albert Doerksen made derogatory comments to his students, including asking one who has learning disabilities, "Did a martian zap your brain?" And, "Chihuahuas are easier to teach" than him.
He also yelled, slammed books and discussed parents' private complaints in class.
He got a reprimand for that.
Ronald Norman Bell agreed to never teach anyone under 18 years again after he groped a female teacher's buttocks twice.
There's also science teacher David Thomas Hobbs.
The branch says he was trying to demonstrate rock formations to his grade 7 class when he got a female student to lie on some desks and bend her knees.
He said something like, "You are the rock and I am the lava, the hot stuff," and rubbed her legs from her calves to her buttocks.
This brought the girl to tears.
Hobbs later agreed to cancel his teaching certificate and never apply again.

Maybe he should go for a massage "The cost of Vancouver teachers’ unlimited massage benefit soared to $1.62 million last year, contributing to the district's latest multimillion-dollar budget crisis.

For as long as I can remember the Vancouver School District has complained about lack of funding for education. The BCTF leaders have been right in there complaining on a regular basis as well. Of course "education" includes things like massages for teachers. $1.62 million in Vancouver last year!! It's all about the kids - LOL.
