Enbridge is worth $47 billion and has returned over 275% in gains to their shareholders in the past 5 years.

HG is worth next to nothing in comparison.

Maybe Enbridge should call HG a keystone cop, considering their relative performances.

Indeed, transporting by train is a great idea and most certainly better than using a dangerous pipeline...

Or, not.

To coolworx ....

How would you define a "corporate lackey idjit"? As compared to an avid free enterprise supporter?

Given that free enterprise is what gives us the high standard of living that we all enjoy.

Did anyone of you numb nuts even notice when they suggested moving the pipeline back east to Ontario and Queerbec , Mulcair and TruDumtought that it was a great idea? Huh?

After 4 years of "we don't think it will be safe " , "it will be an environmental disaster" , " The natives don't want it " , but as soon as it' s oing back east , " IT'S A WONDERFUL IDEA" .

Really the 2 Quebec party leaders do a totall flip flop and NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING ?

Just proves the point that Mulcair and TruD'oh only care about Ontario and Quebec ,

Read a book , and grow some brains , you get SUCKED INTO THIS" again and vote one of those 2 quacks in and the WEST WILL BE RAPED ALL OVER AGAIN

Quebec and Ontario provinces have a combined PROVINCIAL Debt of almost $500Billion , they are broke and want the rest of Canada's provinces revenues . Don't be sucked in again

To lakevixen ...

No danger of the west being "raped again" unless Trudeau the Younger ever gets into office and does what his father, Trudeau The Elder consistently tried to do to the west over the years he was in office.

It started with a middle finger and the words f--k you mouthed to the people outside of his train window as he left the City of Calgary. Some Albertans would add "rather than be lynched for his completely pro eastern Canada attitude".

Fortunately the "Blue Eyed Arab" who became premier, stood up to the east and saved Alberta oil from being stolen by eastern political interests on that occasion. IMO if they want it they can buy it like everyone else.

In its letter, the NEB says it's "not persuaded" Enbridge meets the requirements of one of the conditions that were attached to the project's approval in March.

Condition 16 has to do with where valves are placed in relation to water crossings, and the NEB says it appears only six of the 104 water crossings identified by Enbridge have a valves installed within a kilometre of both sides.

I'm sure you would, but fortunately, just like the Political party you wish was in power all you have in your arsenal is words.

Maybe next election.. Snicker.

Taxpayers paid 100% for the oil companies capital investments in the oil sands and continue to pay for all expansions. Royalties and taxes ridiculously low. For a bunch of risk taking businessmen, massive subsidies and 100% of your investments being covered by the taxpayer is far from being a free enterprise situation.

Enbridge can't even maintain a sign on their own building. How can we expect them to maintain an entire pipeline? Hopefully their response when something breaks won't be to just ignore it. Image
