Pshaww, it's just a ticket situation dealt with under the SCBCTA Act/Translink Fare Collection BYLAW anyway (not criminal code), and terms like crime, criminal charges, courts, and "convictions" don't even come into the process for dealing with those who get ticketed for not being able to produce proof of fare payment. Not a whole lot different than getting a parking ticket except the amount of money involved can be much more substantial. It's not clear to me however what any of that has to do with giving Christy a(nother) chance though.

So you are calling a breach of Section 244(2) of the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Act, "Theft" ???

http://www.bclaws.ca/EPLibraries/bclaws ... section244

Wouldn't that be commonly called "Fare Evasion" ??? a breach of a Provincial Statue ?? Were as "Theft" is a Criminal Code of Canada Offence ????

One offence, fare evasion, is basically equal to a traffic ticket, the other, theft, is a criminal offence.

You are saying that anyone convicted of a minor provincial statute offence shouldn't be the leader of a political party ?

For example the Motor Vehicle Act, (ie traffic tickets) is a provincial statute, so if you get a speeding ticket, there goes your political career ???

Of course your contention doesn't really matter since Dix was only given a warning for not being able to prove he paid his fare.

http://bc.ctvnews.ca/adrian-dix-caught- ... t-1.787075

Or are you calling being warned by the Transit Police, being convicted ?

That's a long way from factual my friend.

The whole argument is so absurd and pathetic it is almost funny that these blown out of proportion spun out of control false allegations is all the liberals can find to convince people that Christy Clark deserves another chance.

Because it's not only important to evaluate who you're voting out of office but to evaluate who you're voting in to office as well.

You are right FF. Every time a politician talks about religion, or their religious preferences are revealed we should all go out of our way to mock them and make snarky comments about their hidden agendas. This was why I felt Jack Layton couldn't be trusted when I found out he regularly attended a United Church in Toronto, and why I know Adrian Dix wants to force everyone to accept his religion because he's married to the daughter of a United Church pastor. We can't ever accept that politicians have private lives andpersonal beliefs, no siree. :skippingsheep:

I was just thinking again about irony and how Adrian Dix is running around complaining about personal attacks in politics and yet his supporters on here have engaged in nothing but personal attacks against the premier.

No link yet?

You have claimed a conviction and I expect to see a link showing a conviction for theft which is what you have stated.

Theft would be a violation under the criminal code so where is the link?

Oh, yes!! The Jobs Plan!

Jobs Lost In All Of Canada In January 2013 – 21,900.
Jobs Lost In British Columbia In January 2013 – 16,000.
73% of the jobs lost in Canada are from BC!
Good job *bleep* LIEberals – you and your failed waste-of-money-job-creation-plan!

What a remarkable plan that is costing the BC taxpayers $15 MILLION to advertise. Doesn't Chirsty read/watch anything other than Manswers??

Dix himself has already criticized the NDP of the 90's for trying to do too much too fast, and assured us he does not intend to repeat those mistakes should the NDP get to form a government. I have no greater reason to disbelieve him than I had to disbelieve Gordon Campbell and his Coalition through two terms of telling us HST was not right for BC.

Besides, I firmly intend to vote for the NDP candidate in my riding not because of the party he represents and its general basic ideology, but rather because he will be good for the riding in that he is the most qualified, experienced, hard working and competent choice among the various parties offerings to replace the Liberal incumbent who has chosen not to stand for re-election.

Is it possible that the job loss situation is being influenced by businesses fearing another go around with an NDP government?? With the polls indicating a strong NDP lead?

Right, wrong, or indifferent, I suspect that there is an influence there...

^^ Basing business decisions on a "what if" scenario does not seem to be a very smart way to make a business decision.

"Contingency planning" is part of the process, and the more likely an outcome the more weight in contingency plans.
