Bollywood Awards Organizers : "Don't want brown contractors"

In an ironic turn of events, there are complaints of racism from the local Indo Canadian community towards organizers of the Indian awards event, the "Times of India Film Awards", that the Liberals have paid $11 Million of our tax dollars to bring to BC. The organizers of the awards, apparently have express a desire that "brown" drivers or security guards should not be allowed to work the event.

Laura Ballance, the event spokeswoman said that the request wasn't meant to be racist, organizers just want to avoid star-struck contractors.

Isn't excluding a segment of the population by race, by definition, "racist" ???

Gotta love it. The Liberals pay zillions of tax dollars to suck up to a certain ethic segment of the population just before the provincial election by paying entertainers from their homeland to put on a galla even, only to have their countrymen demand that they be excluded from working in close proximity to the entertainers at the event.

Funny how these events from the past can be spun (I say spun because the Olympics were a great success!) against the Liberals, albeit unfairly, and yet I mention UBCO, new medical schools etc. and Nab comes on here to tell us that those things are in the past and are not up for discussion now. Funny . . .
