We are totally getting ripped off.
Maybe you should move back to Alberta if it's so bad here. Personally, I think car insurance quite affordable here because I only spend 1% of my income car insurance. This compares to 4% of my income going toward MSP premiums.
you must be on welfare or border line poverty because 4% of MSP U would be at 19K= an then us get a subsidey
and u certainly do not insure a car in bc for 190$ so your math is skewed a little

I doubt the alberta guy get,s a 1600CC Harley type bike fully insured for $188 and certainly not for 12 months

What do you expect when , ICBC has people that go on forums and defend them that work for them , The benefits , the bonuses, the retirement packages , of course people that get them will protect their piggy bank .
You get into a car accident and ICBC refuses to expedite any medical testing , WCB buys blocks of time for MRI's and other testing. They get you into treatments ten times faster than ICBC. ICBC offers nothing to the victims of accidents except delays and red tape BS .
You have a present day government that steals from ICBC coffers and the same thieves pay the very doctors that are supposedly treating you , the victim , is screwed by a CONFLICT OF INTEREST .

what do you expect , when your told that you have to buy auto insurance , from the very government that runs the auto insurance and pays the doctors that treat you after an accident .

So these private insurance companies in the East, buy blocks of MRI time ? Is this part of a no fault system ? Because if I'm hurt in an accident and the other car is at fault it's the other car's insurance company, not mine, who pays for my medical, unless there is some type of no fault, where your own insurance company pays for your injuries.

The way I understand it, if I get into a car accident, I'm treated by the same medical plan that I rely on for other treatment. ICBC pays back the BC MSP. If I fell off my roof or got hit by a car I go to the same hospital for emergency treatment and then I get follow-up by my own GP. If I'm referred to a specialist for falling off a roof or getting hit by a car I enter the same triage / waiting system as everyone else. You are saying that if I was injured in a motor vehicle related situation, I should receive different, more preferential treatment than if I fell off my own roof ?
