It's disgusting. When does human responsibility ever get questioned? Why are people leaving their garbage out to attract animals that they find a nusiance? Too bad the guy with the arrow wasn't mauled by a hurt angry bear.

I felt horrible for the bear for his suffering. However more than likely if they had called wildlife control then they would have shot him as well. The only difference is they would say it is best for the bear as it was now comfortable around people. I am sure the owner was doing what he thought was best and protecting his family. But he also should have made sure the bear did not suffer and to handle it like a real man.

If you are dumb enough to take on a bear with a bow, you'd better be damn sure you kill it. He is fortunate that the bear didn't just get angry and charge him.

I guess the point is, the arrow was not the way to go and he would have been in deeper crap had he used a gun. He should have left it the hell alone.
