Phone calls from unknown number

Got a phone call today from an unknown number 529-399-4989.
They hung up - no one there when I answered.
Called back and the call can not be completed as dialed.

Did a Google search of the number and came across a site http://800notes.com/

Seems that number has been calling all across Canada today.

Very good site to find out about these types of calls.

I never answer calls I don't recognize the number for.

Any area code listed as an unassigned area code is an invalid area code when it was last checked. If you're receiving a call from an unassigned area code, it is likely a telemarketer is spoofing the phone number, making it appear as if they are someone else and so the call is not blocked.
