I think it's the Taxes and LCB raping the consumer, not the Beer mfrs.

Try ordering a shot of scotch without ice. It barely wets the bottum of the glass. Don't know what ever happened to an ounce but it appears to have gone metric.

You really really missed the whole deal here, Molson get s a retail price of 2.10 per can of beer and Busch(labatts) gets 1.40
There both taxed at the same rate and have the same mark ups. as the saying goes HELLO

That's true and I can buy a six pack in the US for less than $6 cdn.

It's same/cheaper than pop.

One way to insure that you do not get "hosed over beers" is to order by the bottle. Especially if you buy it in a Liquor Store and take it home and open it yourself.

That goes for hard stuff and wine as well.

To poindexter ...

What are you doing diluting your scotch with ice? That's like drawing pictures on a Robert Burns poem.

Lol. Sacrilege!

I prefer neat as well, just discouraging how small an bar ounce looks in the bottum of a glass. It's enough to make a man drink more. :)

Then just drink Busch, why the heck anyone would buy the more expensive swill is beyond me.... it's all swill until you get to craft brewed beer :) You're paying for preservatives and crap in the mass produced swill....

I prefer not to drink Beer with GMO ingredients which pretty much removes all major brands from my shopping list. I just wish I could find a nice craft brewed light beer. The liquor store doesn't carry any. In this heat heavy beers get a little nasty once they've warmed up a bit. I guess the solution is to drink faster but also not a great idea in this heat. Anyone know of a good light beer from a craft brewery?

Vancouver Island Lager is light, and very very refreshing on a hot day.
