Former BC Premier

Agree or disagree with former BC Premier Bill Bennett's politics is not what this thread is about.
I would not wish this illness on anyone.

Bennett was before my time, but wouldn't wish that disease on my worst enemy. I hope it's quick. My grandma died from it. The world's saddest and most horrible disease in my opinion.

Very sad to see. Having spoken with Mr Bennett numerous times and knowing members of his family, it hits home for me. I always found Mr Bennett very congenial and down-to-earth.

My best wishes to all the Bennett family as they deal with this.

My Dad has this disease as well. It is not something you would wish on anyone. Best wishes to him and his family. It is harder on them than it is on him!

I think the disease is terrible.

What a neat thing though to see such a large donation to fight it!

There was a public release about him: "The revelation was made public Tuesday morning" They are only reporting on information that was released most likely with family approval.

What a terrible affliction for his family to deal with! Living with a person who has a chronic organic condition affecting the brain such as Alzheimer's, a brain tumor (personal experience) is a draining experience. I wish his family the strength to deal with the situation.

I met with Mr. Bennet last year. He was not well then. This is one of the many conditions that rob people of the enjoyment of life, and cause emotional problems for the family. Best wishes to all.
