Manitoba gives you your private sale amount as a credit if you purchase and register another vehicle within 6 months.
BC is ripping us off by not giving that option.

More leftists wanting tax breaks. This money is needed by government to subsidize business so that it can compete with foreign business in India and China. Canadians have grown soft living in a sheltered nation for so long. If Canada expects to compete with the rest of the world bloated wages, gold plated pensions, and frills like health care will just have to go. Minor taxation like a tax on used vehicles is necessary to let government foster a competitive business class.
