That's not camping (no matter how you spell it) - THIS is camping:
My tent is beside the lake

Now that's "camping". What we do my wife calls Glamping.
Either way as long as you enjoy doing it is the main thing.
Going to a friends tonight to plan another trip to Oregon this spring. Looking forward to it.

Beautiful Woodenhead. I think a hike in camping trip is in order for my family this Summer.

That's about a thousand kilometer hike from Cherryville. Better pack lots of granola bars and JD to disinfect the blisters, from the inside of course.

haha I like it!
I'm just having a bit of fun, that's all. (I know you're joking, Atamoa)
PS: my pic is of Gwillim Lakes, in Valhalla Prov. Park - it's about a 4 hour hike in, depending. I can't recommend it enough. There's even a bear-proof food cache & nice outhouse there, too. Just don't bring your pets (not allowed, and the rangers check up there often enough. Unless you want a fine).
Your bias suits you.

Re: Price for camping going up?
Done lots of different types of camping. Hike in tenting, 4x4 accessible only where my wife and dog walked to the campsite faster than I drove (Cleer Creek before the logging restarted), pop-up, truck camper, and now I have a 35 ft trailer. Yes, it isn't camping (I call it RV'ing) but I'm too old for that *bleep* and love my trailer. But it does mean I'm limited to where I can go. In fact, I drove to Ellison once with just the truck and decided I am not taking my trailer their.
I Like Bear Creek, Kekuli and Kettle River for local. It will be a bit more this year. Hopefully diesel price stays down to make up the difference.

So you do mostly dry camping? What do you use for power? Just batteries, or solar, or generator?

I often see many tents at RV parks probably because they offer wifi. I don't know if provincial parks have got around to providing it, I know there was talk of it.

Lots of over nighters too because they have showers etc and can be handy when travelling.

Many people don't like the idea of wifi at provincial sites but I see lots of people using it for their travel plans, blogging their travels for family etc.
Hopefully they power up more sites to encourage RV's as they do have nice surroundings and could charge a good rate for them.

lol, but the RV's have their own bathrooms. Now if Wally World would just provide us some power and a dump station we could make it across Canada on just food and diesel.

I admit I did a bad thing last year. Two separate weekends in May, I turned my phone into a hotspot and watched Netflix. Ended up over my 6 gb cap for the month.
My excuse is it was raining.
But I really don't miss it. In fact, I don't get cell service at Kettle River.
