BC Earthquakes

I have a thread in world thread for those 6+.

This thread just for BC and off the coast.

Here is a link to all quakes in BC in last 30 days 2.5+ http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/ ... alse%7D%7D

I will try to update this when I get a chance, here is the link I use: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/

Added: when you check zoom in so only BC is in screen area, on the left is each quake on the right click on white sprocket looking icon to set the time frame & size.

3.4 magnitude earthquake hits Vancouver’s coast

An earthquake struck near Vancouver on Saturday night.

According to Earthquakes Canada, it was a 3.4 magnitude quake with its epicentre 26 km northwest of Sechelt.

The link I provided in last post has that quake in it.

Anyone using this thread wanting to know All quakes in BC for past 7 days (which is updated regularly, so it not set 7 day period). Just needs to click on that link, which is in quote below:

I notice that princeton has had dozens of earthquakes lately, mostly the 2 range. When you click on one of them it says "explosion." It also says it's at a depth of 0m, so maybe someone is blasting the heck of stuff over there. Maybe it's an ISIS training ground.

Don't see any for Prince (short for PG), in Princeton area thats Copper Mountain outside Princeton using explosives.

Me neither, but then again i self medicate. The last quake i remember actually feeling here in the valley was that little shake we had back in (i think) '99. I medicated shortly thereafter.

An interesting article I read today about the subduction plate under the west coast. Puts some perspective on how volatile the coast can be and has been. It's long but worth the read.
