"I think it's really going to shake the foundations of public trust in the RCMP," said Liberal MP Mark Holland. "This is an incredible act of betrayal and cover-up. And really, for an institution for which we expect so much, the senior leadership is discrediting it to a point where you really have to wonder how we're going to rebuild it."
^ Lied like a lying liar.

She submitted the email. Hardly lied about it. And she stepped down and this goes back to 2009. The perjury charges do not pertain to her.

Rebuild the public trust by sending Millington to jail. The higher ups go to Bahamas.

Committing perjury regardless of who you are or the motivation is a crime.

Re: Justice
Thirty months seems a bit extreme... Especially when a blood splatter expert only gets a 9 month conditional sentence for perjury while testifying at a murder trial.
Maybe the sentence came down harder because someone died.
http://www.yukon-news.com/news/larues-l ... integrity/
"Spenard, a blood splatter expert who was involved in examining several pieces of evidence in the Seybold case, left the force in disgrace three years ago after he was caught lying under oath in a 2009 B.C. murder trial."
"After the trial Spenard was charged with perjury. He pleaded guilty in 2011 and was handed a nine-month conditional sentence. It’s a relatively light sentence for a charge that carries a maximum of 14 years in prison."

The Mountie sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail for lying at a public inquiry says he’ll appeal the conviction.

Re: Justice
although all four of them lied, Bentley and Rundel didn't really take part in the murder.
Robinson gave the orders and Millington pulled the trigger over and over and over and over and over
until the Polish guy was dead.

You are aware that the perjury charges have literally nothing to do with the death, right?
Come quickly Jesus, we're barely holding on.

There's that murder word again. Why can't you get it through your head that nobody got murdered. The officers tried to subdue RD with a taser and he died. There was no criminal intent.

No kidding. While I am appalled at what I saw on that video and at the blatant cover up and deceit, I do not believe for a second they intentially tried to kill him. That is one of the most absurd things I have heard.

Re: Justice
Exactly. There's no doubt that they screwed up, but there's no way they intended for that man to die. Who hasn't made a mistake? What makes me angry about this is Cst. Millington is going to jail for 30 months when people who have committed far more heinous crimes, including violent crimes, spend less time in jail.
