This is a guy I was acquainted with 25 years ago, around that time, he was the one who painted the mural which still stands to this day on the back of the bleachers in City Park.

I haven't heard of any, I imagine any updates will be on the fundraiser page. I hardly think he's in a facebook social media mood.
