Vancouver rioter dies after being sentenced

Apparently this Ryan Fisher [30] was convicted for his part in the vicious assault on one of the people who was described as "a good samaritan". The prison sentence seems appropriate for the seriousness of the assault that was seen by everyone on video, but to die shortly after being sentenced to 3 plus years is some extreme karma.

No indication in the media reports... Coroner and police investigating the incident.

Fisher was sentenced on Feb. 19 and was due to be transferred on Feb. 22 but early that morning he went into "medical distress," according to a BC Coroners Service release.

He was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, where he died on Feb. 25.

The BC Coroners Service, federal and provincial corrections officials and the RCMP are investigating.

eight months later and i still can't find any report on the cause of death. does anyone know anything?
