RCMP officer killed

rip officer, nothing to do with her being an officer, but drivers like this should get life in jail ,for acts like this, this should be nothing less than a manslaughter charge

There should be some serious jail time and loss of licence for life. Condolences to the family and friends of RCMP Const. Sarah Beckett.
Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have of changing others.

they released the driver no charges

To lose such a valued person this way isn't right ..

yea exactly .. they never said why . so that leads me to believe that they may have somethi g but just want to be sure .

Very rarely are accused people in fatal collisions charged right away. These investigations take months to complete and Crown can wait until all of the evidence is in before they lay a charge.

Why was the driver released? Because the law concerning bail for accused persons dictates the circumstances under which people are either released or held in custody.

why such a fuss here.I read in several papers every day of people being killed in auto accidents?

I haven't read any such thing (at least not multiple people being killed every day in BC) - never mind in the line of duty.

Hello Don, I cannot explain why there is "such a fuss". Perhaps if you went and talked to some of her family members and colleagues, they could explain it to you.

don ,would it big no big deal if it was your wife,killed this way ??? imo it should be a big deal everytime something like this happens, the goof ran a red light and killed someone :-X 100% unacceptable
