Cuts at the top?
Why not cut so many of the overpaid administrative government positions at the top? Seems like that would make sense.

Re: Cuts at the top?
There are some assumptions in your questions:
- How do you know these people are overpaid?
- How do you know that cutting these positions won't affect the services?
- How do you know it hasn't been done already?
My bet is that you don't know anything for sure but simply assume that people working for the govt do nothing and get paid too much. Hard to take your opinion seriously with that in mind.

“When you realize that you’ve got senior employees making $90,000 a year just in bonuses, that’s more than the average household income in BC,” he points out.
And NDP Energy Critic John Horgan is calling for an independent review of BC Hydro.
“I don’t think the province takes this seriously, the minister will most assuredly say these are all good people and they deserve what they get. Well we can’t keep hearing this year after year that the senior managers need to get paid more or they’ll go elsewhere…well I say get lost, if you don’t like working here go somewhere else and there’s always someone to replace you,” explains a fired up Horgan.
He thinks there needs to be a salary freeze not just for the lower pay scaled workers but most importantly those higher on the pay scale.

Well I agree with the poster I have said this for years A ton of them are overpaid worse yet they don't do a good job and
cutting a ton of these positions will not effect a single person except the one whom lost their job
Christ I went into the city of Vernon office center the other day.Talk about a lot of women doing nothing. Its like this at every level of government (not just women) that was where \I was at in the city deal I said women because that's all I saw
women in a lot of positions work harder and more earnest then men do
worst yet go look at BC Hydro that's a frigging disaster

No amount of alleged "fat" at the top of public service organizations will EVER outdo the excesses of executive compensation in so-called private enterprise. Which is not to excuse waste and inefficiency in our public institutions or anywhere else.
