More jobs, over a longer term, perhaps not necessarily full-time, would be provided by existing dam upgrades, infrastructure improvements to river flow and would have less impact environmentally.

The Christy Joan Clark dam (Site C) is a politically motivated project - the BCUC was bypassed BECAUSE the powers-that-be knew that BCUC would not lend their approval to Site C.

Because there is literally no one else to vote for. We are essentially living in a dictatorship - forced to choose between corrupt Door A or insanely stupid AND horribly corrupt door B (the NDP). We need another option, as the NDP is just too dumb, lazy and corrupt to vote for as an alternative.

All of the above has been discussed and your points refuted in the Site C thread. Nothing can ever be proven when it comes to the future but the rationale that BC Hydro has laid out for the Site C dam is strong and compelling. You linked to an author who told us to buy power from Washington State in the future but I choose to be energy self-sufficient. The decision has been made to go ahead with Site C and it is the right decision.

The BC economy is arguably the strongest in Canada and the forecasts are for it to stay strong at least through the next couple of years.

is that fair to say? the strength of BC is a result of the crumbling of other resource powerhouses in canada. if all things were equal - our weaknesses and this government would show how inept they are just like in the past. how strong can a province be - if people work away from home when there are better paying jobs outside of province? those jobs are gone and now we have those workers working for much less at home. so who exactly is the economy in BC really good for? the worker? or businesses that can exploit a long built culture of low wages?

By the way seems to me last election she promised a lot of things: Families First! Open transparent government! LNG! no tax increases! debt free BC! has any of that happened? Nope!! Please the BC Liberals are an embarrassment to the Province of BC.

he is such a nothing that no one ever targeted his riding, while the idiot NDP went after Clark and focused on her riding, while completely forgetting about the rest of the province and blowing a huge lead in the polls. Just plain dumb, but that's the NDP. So dumb, and so unelectable.
