Yeah......
Another weekend of people making poor choices....another weekend of thousands of wasted healthcare dollars....another weekend of parents wondering how their child could be so stupid as to ingest some random street drug.
Funerals and remembrance events to come.....hundreds of useless Facebook memorial pages....
Stay safe out there kiddos....it is just not worth rolling the dice for that high.

Re: Drug party warning
Self preservation is not a strong characteristic among melinials. This summer a friend's son died scaling a cliff wall with zero training or equipment. Then on the way to his memorial one of his friends lost control of his car and drove off a cliff with 3 others in the car killing one and putting another in a coma.
A young woman at work has gone to 5 funerals of close friends in the last 2 years, all young men in thier early 20's. Not saying my generation didn't do stupid things growing up but we did manage to give ourselves a chance to grow up and learn from our mistakes. This leap before you look culture that melleninals ascribe to is every parents worst nightmare.
I believe we've done this generation a disservice by being over protective as parents because they seem to lack the common sense required to know how to have a good time without putting their lives in peril. The drugs they choose and the needless deaths they cause are just one more example of this unfortunate lack of common sense.

Re: Drug party warning
the fentanyl "epidemic" is NOTHING compared to the opioid and crack cocaine deaths in the US during the 70s and 80s. Remember Nancy Reagan? Just say no? Crack babies everywhere!

drugs and drug related deaths have been around for ages, this has nothing to do with millenials and everything to do with human nature

All that I can surmise from such an uniformed post is that you or someone close to you profits from the drug trade. There is no other explanation for your sloughing off 662 OD's in BC ALONE in the last nine months as NOTHING.
Show us some damn numbers that even a fraction of these kinds of deaths happened in BC previously due to heroin or crack in a nine month period. You won't cuz you can't and live in a world completely out of touch with reality.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Actually people have died by the hundreds in BC every year from drug ODs. But with fentanyl and all the other crap it is getting worse.
So yes A FRACTION OF THESE KINDS OF DEATHS have happened in BC previously.
However the problem is far worse now

Re: Drug party warning
on average we have about 300 drug deaths per year so we are well above 125% increase so far this year caused by fentanyl
