Shouldn't the picture be of FEDERAL health minister Jane Philpott , it's federal money. Why has our provincial govt stalled for so long , and only now (election gift season) settled ?

$145 million. The north coast riding went to the NDP last time.

Gotta hand it to the Libs , when they see a need they pull out the cheque book. Here they saw a need to quiet down the public outcry about their ministry.

You know all this didn't happen overnight. Previous budgets are available for perusal.

I know that there is an election in just over 2 months , and you can't open a newspaper or log on without seeing a picture of a BC Liberal grinning and patting himself/herself on the back while simultaneously holding a checkbook in their hand.

There's been lots in the news over the past few years. Why wouldn't the government want to remind the fickle public?

With a provincial election just around the corner, B.C. Liberal transportation ministry is reminding Central Okanagan drivers of work done to to improve Westside Road over the last eight years.

Hey , if the government wants to remind us about good things they have done , I have no problem with that.

If they are buying airtime on TV with taxpayers money to tell us what a good job they are doing , then I do have a problem with it. Luckily , that would never happen , would it ?

Well, the NDP government has been spending money on climate change ads in Alberta. I would expect ad campaign funds will be accounted for in the budget.

Publically funded ads designed to inform the Public about Government Programs and services the Public can access are OK.

Publically funded ads designed to get more people to vote for a particular political party are not OK.

Wouldn't it be nice this next election to see only Positive things that each party promise to do rather than the usual attack/negative ads? If only we lived in a perfect world.

Note: the latest attack ads re John Horgan are tiring and annoying; my mute button gets a lot of use these days. I don't want to see any negative ads by any party; Right or Left.
