Completely biased, non scientific poll.

Post by Retrosnap »

Just a fun little poll, since we're getting close to election day. As we hear specifics about the NDP platform, I'll add them to this topic.

In the interests of full disclosure, I used to be an NDP supporter and voted for Glen Clark in the early 90's...never again.

I wonder how many would choose -- keep taxes the same and make gov't more efficient and smaller, -- oops my bad, we're talking about the NDP.

Kind of a dumb poll.

What the heck is 'other'?

Disclosure.. I have voted Liberal but never for C. Clark.
She completely blew Education as a minister, and as Premier.

Hundreds of schools closed...thousands of students deprived of help.

Watch her wiggle waggle to defend DUMB decisions.
She is a master of obfuscation.

The poll might be dumb, but the answers are pretty much what I expected. Not one person is willing to pay more to pay for the NDP platform. People just dont get it.

Personally I don't see anything "dumb" about it. Other would indicate to me, and I think most people that none of the choices were what the person voting felt, and since this is a forum they would state their idea here. Then it could be discussed. :135:

I'd love to hear what "other" means to people. The possibilities are endless, and couldn't possibly be out into a poll.

Okey.
Other could mean... contine MSP premiums unlike any other province.

Continue increased ICBC rates.

Continue horrendous utility rates.

Pay multi billions for an unneeded electrical dam.

Pay multi. millions for environmental clean ups.

Let the American head hunters harvest our animals.

Send more good wood to Asian countries while mills shut down.

Endorse starving Education and Child Care.

Anyobe buying the actual Lieberal platform?

Other: I don't want to go broke paying and paying and paying, so we need to keep Horgan as far away as possible from our wallets. Dissolve the NDP.

I think we should all fork over our full pay cheques to the 'powers that be' and they can look after us and all our wants for life.

Don't worry if you do not want to contribute, you'll be looked after.

So, you want to pay more. Check

George+ wrote:Continue increased ICBC rates.

I don't like paying more for ICBC, but claims are claims. Maybe you'd like ICBC to lose money instead of being profitable. So, check to subsidizing ICBC for more money.

As per Manitoba Hydro, we pay the 3rd lowest in Canada. Ask people in Ontario how they like Ontario Hydro. Sorry for the formatting.

Growth in demand means BC will be short in the near future. Other renewable options are not economically viable. So, check for much higher hydro rates still.

I will however, give you some credit...Gordon Campbell should never have entered in to agreements with private providers to buy hydro at inflated prices even when BC Hydro doesn't need it.

Because there will be no disasters (except to our wallets) once the NDP are elected

George+ wrote:Let the American head hunters harvest our animals.

Has nothing to do with the cost of paying for an NDP platform. Nice deflection, though.

There's nothing stopping value added industry from setting up shop right now. Where are they?

George+ wrote:Endorse starving Education and Child Care.

The SCOC ruled against BC, and the money is flowing back into education. You want to punish the liberals...fine, I want to punish the NDP into the foreseeable future, until we come up with a political party that is pragmatic, and not beholden to fringe elements from within, like the BCTF. God help us if we get $10 day care....BCTF indoctrinating our children from cradle to secondary school. Ugh.

George+ wrote:Anyobe buying the actual Lieberal platform?

The Liberals have put numbers to their budget...the NDP says "trust us". I bought that line in the 90's, and then the day after the election, I heard "Just give us some wriggle room".

So does the NDP in Alberta.

Other for me means cutting spending. Period. No increases in taxes. Cut spending. And start with our giant social safety net. There is no excuse for an able-bodied person to be on welfare. Ever. Pay them to do something, if you have to, force them to at least earn the money somehow. But don't just fork out a check every month to enable a useless bum of an existence. That right there would save billions.

Your right Retrosnap, this is a little fun.

What I would like to know is, who in their right mind would choose to pay 40% more in taxes.

It's got to be a mistaken selection, or someone just p**sing around.
