Would love to hear female POV.

As a female, I don't think employers should be able to dictate what shoes a woman should or shouldn't be allowed to wear. they are incredibly uncomfortable, and I couldn't imagine having to wear them 8+ hours a day.

I get that some restaurants want to portray themselves a certain way, which is fine. But a young, beautiful woman can still present the same "style" in black flats as they can in black high heels. I personally have never served, but I do have girls that have and still are serving. One of my best girlfriends, who worked at a local chain restaurant, was not enforced to wear high heels and they had more conservative uniforms when compared to other restaurant chains (they wore fitted black t-shirts and black pants or skirts). She even wore "croc" style flats, which were so ugly but she swore by them after a 10 hour shift. She was not short on stories of being hit on, asked out or complimented by male patrons nor did her tips ever seem to suffer because of her shoe wear.
