Newspapers beholden to special interests
Newspapers beholden to special interests are unwilling to report how sponsoring elites profit by abusing the wallets of taxpaying citizens. What debased media will report is anything that advances the positions of their masters.
“Whatever a patron desires to get published is advertising; whatever he wants to keep out of the paper is news,” is the sentiment expressed in a little framed placard on the desk of L. E. Edwardson, day city editor of the Chicago Herald and Examiner.

I'll read the National Enquirer before the Tyee if I am looking for factual news.

an article written by someone beholden to special interests (the NDP and unions) about news media being beholden to special interests. You just can't make this stuff up.

Just read the editorial page in the Vernon Morning Star as the election nears. The editor sits up like a trained seal and sanitizes Christy Clark with a depth of social understanding that rivals Donald Trump. Anything to curry favour with head office of the Black Press. Tries to be kinda folksy all the while pushing the provincial Liberal agenda.

Lawsuit claims B.C. Liberals using taxpayers' money to boost image
Two Vancouver-area lawyers have filed a Notice of Civil Claim against the B.C. Government and the B.C. Liberal Party.
The claim, filed by lawyers Paul Doroshenko and David Fai on behalf of a concerned taxpayer, alleges the Province is spending as much as $15-million of taxpayer money to boost the Liberals’ image.
In a press release, the duo says the moves add up to “unjust enrichment” for the party.
They’re looking to have the lawsuit certified as a class action.

This could have huge ramifications for the Federal Liberals. What will Justin do without taxpayer cash to bolster his image???

Attempted deflection of provincial dirty deeds to federal politics doesn't do anything to take readers' eyes off the prize.

Then Glenn Clark and Adrian Dix would have been swinging from a yard-arm in 1998.
