"Asked which major projects the NDP supports, the party released a list of eight mining projects, Rio Tinto Alcan’s $4.8-billion smelter upgrade in Kitimat, half-a-dozen upgrades to existing B.C. Hydro dams, several major transportation projects including the Evergreen SkyTrain extension and the $8-billion federal shipbuilding contract landed by Vancouver-based Seaspan."

That's just awesome it'll create 350 jobs.
That means they'll just have to find about 1,700 more to make up for the ones lost at Site "C".
There's that NDP math in action again.

So the idiot Horgan is going to support Site C? That's news to me.

That's what I'm hoping for, but not if you and your cohorts flunkies gain control of government. Heck a couple have been celebrating for weeks already as if it's a done deal.
I honestly don't see it, but they're celebrating nonetheless.
It's fairly certain the Liberal government will go down in a non confidence vote, but how far do you figure Horgan will get with 43 votes going up against 43 votes?

Re: The NDP agreement with Rio Tinto to be completed
The entire project has absolutely zero to with the attempt by the 1990s NDP to spin a deal for political cover after they fluffed up the Kemano Electricity generation project. Mikey Harcourt cancelled that one and added $500 million to the provincial debt, laying of hundreds of folks, and killing the village of Kemano.
The project is to complete the second tunnel that was supposed to provide the water flow from the heightened reservoir for electricty generation for distribution in the province.
It is being done because the original tunnel is failing, and that will allow them to continue providing the necessary power to the smelter.
In other words, it is a replacement tunnel for existing needs. The only tenuous relationship to the stupidity of the NDP so called government of the 1990s is that was started before Mikey and the NDP doofus crew said "tools down, you're laid off. Project cancelled. Here Alcan, a cheque for $500 million".
Most governments spend money to provide jobs (sometimes not wisely, but they try), but in NDP sillyland they spend money to get people laid off.
