for most people though, it isn't about refuting anything. It's that as bad as the BC Liberals were/are (and that is definitely a matter of discussion depending on your political views I guess) it's indisputable that the BC NDP are far far worse. They kill jobs, they install insanely stupid people like Lana Popham in ministry portfolios they are totally unqualified for, they kill tolls on bridges with zero thought, and they delay projects like Site C purely out of political partisanship. The NDP has proven everyone's fears right, which is why they lost the last election. There is no refuting this. The NDP is a dumpster fire, and the BCGreen abortion is a total disaster. Dr. Weaver, please end this unholy alliance of stupidity immediately. For the good of all BC.

Great post GB. I couldn't agree more. Finally, someone that has got the ______s to stand up against these losers (of so many elections).

Try to get your facts right for at least once in your life, GB - the NDP has NOT delayed Site C one bit. Work is continuing on daily at Site C.
Why do people who fancy themselves "fiscal conservatives" not scream at hidden debt accumulated in the past dozen years? Or, do they only object to spending on social programs?

BUT, at a much slower pace, due to the uncertainty that the NDP has put upon the project.

Hogwash!

Horkagain began interfering long before he was even sworn in, by sending out letters and giving directives to BC Hydro.

That's justone item that happened to gain traction in the news, but I have no doubt other shenanigans have gone on in backrooms as well. After all that's where the NDP conduct all their business, also a tad ironic given all the lip service, stemming from the NDP and its supporters regarding transparency.

What a silly thing to say. Anyway...

Now it's your turn to get your facts straight. The idiot NDP, by commissioning the boneheads at the BCUC to do an unnecessary and stupid report have cast doubt on the entire project. If even one NDP'er had even a tiny brain in their head, they'd be proceeding full speed and getting the job done. The NDP is a disgrace.
Not sure why I bother with a signature as it seems to just randomly disappear on a regular basis. Especially if it offends liberal snowflakes.

Not by a 50% plus one vote of those who happen to mail in their referendum. No thanks! And why does the NDP believe that to change their party rules there should be a 66% vote? They're hypocrites. That's why.

Abolish the NDP would be a good start!

Mandatory testing to make sure anyone who votes possesses more than one brain cell might well be worth considering too.

Yeah? How are you going to do that? The Liberal opposition is a bunch of braying jackals in the Leg, they have 60-year old baggage-laden candidates seeking nothing but POWER!!

^^ I'd suggest you read what you wrote, then honestly tell me which of your descriptive Liberal characterization doesn't apply to the NDP, if not even more so, and they've been braying jackals for 16yrs and learned absolutely nothing in that period of time, rather resuming the very same behavior as they engaged in during the 90's, not to mention with some of the same dinosaurs in the fold.

People in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones FF, and even less so when engaging in hypocrisy of the highest order.

Are you trying to make sure that the BC Liberals never get a vote again?!?

https://beta.theglobeandmail.com/news/british-columbia/bc-ndp-details-financial-challenges-amid-may-election/article36857917/

"The BC NDP, currently pushing legislation through the House to provide public financing of political parties, went into the last provincial election weighed down by debt going back to the 2009 campaign."

SNIP

"Getting big money out of politics was a key promise of the NDP in the election last May, but debate on the bill has been contentious because of the unexpected feature of public funding that will cost B.C. taxpayers millions of dollars annually – a measure that had been previously rejected by the NDP."

SNIP

"The New Democrats were having trouble raising funds for two by-elections held in 2016, much less preparing a war chest for the coming 2017 election. Operating costs were being paid out of reserves."

SNIP

"At the start of this year, the central party owed more than $880,000 to its riding associations, built up over three election cycles.

In her report, Ms. Hockin said "a lot of work" went into seeking forgiveness of those loans, but "despite our best efforts, the internal debt remained an impediment."

Last February, the NDP's provincial council approved an election budget of $11.4-million, which included approval for a $1.8-million loan. However, with internal debt still on the books, the central party was able to borrow less than half of that amount."

SO, the NDP thieves can't manage their finances, let alone the province's!

SO the useless petty criminals in the NDP are set to steal taxpayer $$$ 1.987,765 to pay off their debts!!! The grinning liar Horgan! What a corrupt criminal! The NDP are so useless that they can't manage their own finances, so the NDP "solution" is to STEAL from taxpayers!!!

Entirely unacceptable.
