The Greens..a left party..won more than 10% of the vote.

And white, waspish racism did the rest.

Not the East Indian community, as Urbane poorly suggests.

You keep misquoting me George. I haven't even referenced the "East Indian community" so once again you must be thinking of someone else. I've already told you that in 2001 the NDP was almost wiped off the map, 77-2, and it was bad government that did them in. The scandals along with resignations, the fudge it budget, and the worst economy in Canada necessitated a change and even traditional NDP voters deserted the party. Pretending that the election was decided even in part by racism is a terrible slur against the people of this province. NOW:

:topic:

The current government is starting to make the same mistakes that the 1990's NDP government made. It doesn't bode well for their longevity in office so if they want to stick around they'd best smarten up.

Urbane, Why do you refuse to look at the percentages?

And it was YOU who suggested the NDP lost it's "traditional" base.

It was actually the Greens...easily proven.

The left must work towards uniting.

But..have you voted?

Someone..Ben Stewart..said you should always vote for the candidate of the govt. in power.
Just to get things done.
Go for it!

But the NDP never get anything done, so there is really no point. Easily proven!

So it was racism that ensured that one of the two dumb-dumbs that were elected by the NDP in 2001 was Jenny Kwan? Really? Guess who the other one was George! Big hint - she just got a giant fat patronage appointment to run ICBC, even though she is totally unqualified! And not one die-hard NDP zombie said a word in complaint. Weird how that goes.

One thing we can always bank on is the NDP hanging itself and they even bring the rope to the lynching.

While their sheeple are busily telling us how great the BC economy is, thanks to the Liberals, but the NDP already claim false credit; headlines show the effects of their ill thought out decision to fight the pipeline.

Now not only are they messing with labor, but effectively sabotaging BC wine producers, and BC Hydro's business strategy, as Alberta takes punitive action.

I wasn't aware that provincial trade wars were good for the economy.

Well done Horkagain!

The sky is falling!
Nope.

The wine has stopped flowing.
Nope.

Electricity has stopped flowing.
Nope.

Where's the beef?!
Flowing.

An NDP MLA, now and former, will straighten out ICBC.
Totally screwed up by the Liberals, in the interest of privatization for their buddies. BIG FAIL!
Yup.

Perhaps there will be some future Joy? Hint, hint...

You'd better contact the Minister of Agriculture, Lana Popham, who says that the Alberta ban on BC wine will be "devastating" for the Okanagan. Give her a call and set her straight:)

You mistake the headlines for for what will happen on the ground. Albertans may change their attitude toward BC wines and products and simply vote with their wallets. Some already have.

The actions of the self serving fool George Heyman and backed up by spineless Horgan are not only ignorant and childish, but ultimately illegal and unconstitutional.

How can you possibly be supportive of such actions that are destructive toward our great country? And destructive for our province and its hard working people?

Such slavish partisan ship is part of the problem, not part of any solution to anything. The BC NDP have done lmost nothing that is constructive in their tenure so far. Almost everything has been done to attack the prosperity of the province and its people, and play stupid political games. The worst of which is stealing taxpayer money to pay for their political games - which is completely corrupt.

There is just no defending such nonsense. Including the Trojan horse package the BC NDP have put forward as so called reforms to our political environment - the BC NDP are making it worse, not better. It is all designed to divide people and permanently park their self serving butts in the legislature to collect big $$$ for the BC NDP and their cronies.

That is not to say that the BC Liberals weren't due for a shake up, but OMG this is BC NDP clown car is just ridiculous.

I would note a couple of exceptions, Eby has been ok - but a bit over the top. Mungall has been ok - but hamstrung by the radical lunatics. Dix has kept his nose clean - so far. James we will see the results this month. The rest? D's and F's.

No, John Horgan specifically stated that no public money would be used to fund political parties. Now he is stealing it! It is theft to pay off the fact that the BC NDP can't manage their own party finances, let alone those of the province!

Reminder, the NDP did NOT win the election, and the Greens disingenuously said they would support the party that won the most seats to attract Liberal voters who wanted to send a message.

All lies and deceit from the BC NDP and their enablers the Greens!
