A look at NDP promises

Post by lasnomadas »

The very first thing on that list should be a compete forensic audit into the books that deJong has been cooking since he became Finance Minister. I'd especially like to see him eat crow over that last ditch effort he came up with the other day in an attempt to keep Christy in the driver's seat.

Everyone would like this. Too bad the government that's now in place is unable to forensically audit a girl scout fund-raising drive.

Where is a 'forensic audit's in ndp promises? It's not in their platform. :topic: [icon_lol2.gif]
Health forum: Health, well-being, medicine, aging, digital currency enslavement, depopulation conspiracy.

If you want to discuss anything real, you're in the wrong place.

They don't want to do one as that is actually work, and math is hard. And they probably are hoping if they don't do one, one won't be done on them when they inevitably lose again.

Come on, you guys. Surely you can do better than that. The audit is done by auditors, not politicians.

Really? And who is the NDP going to hire? No accountants are unionized so that automatically means that the NDP can't hire them.

Take it easy man. Getting that worked up isn't good for your health. And with Christie's cuts to Health Care...... you know.

If this was 2018, you could go out on the deck and smoke a big one and chill.

Not sure where you get your information from, but according to the Globe and Mail "From 2001-02 to 2011-12, Health Ministry costs grew at an average of just over 5 per cent annually. But the last three years of that period – from 2009 to 2012 – department accounts grew at rates of 5.7, 4.9 and 6.3 per cent respectively. "

In the same article, Health expenditures were greater than inflation over the last few years....

Math is hard, first of all. Secondly, you aren't doing "NDP math", which is as simple as this:

Spending may have increased in health by 5.7%, but the NDP determined that it should have gone up by 10%. So NDP math means that health care spending was "cut" by 4.3%. See how that works? You can also apply this brain-dead and deliberately mis-leading math calculation to Education, and then send out brain-washed automatons to hold signs reading "CHRISTY HATES CHILDREN" and "CUTS TO EDUCATION HURT US ALL". See, there were no cuts, but if you can find a really dumb person to hold a sign, with a lie printed on it, suddenly people think its true.
