When was her constituency office closed? Have a drive by and let us know, ok?
ETA: Just called her constituency office in West Kelowna and they invited me to leave a message. Fax number still operational. Why are the taxpayers paying to keep her office operational? I'll call again on Tuesday.....

That's right. He had a date to go buy socks with Trudeau. Calling a by-election and looking after the MLA-vacant constituency that should have representation in government can wait.

He has seen thousands of timber boardfeet go up in flames, had to show JT around the fire zones so as they did not create two distractions, and had to negotiate fire funds to assist the Province.
What part of this do you object to? And GASP it's only Friday. He's been in office how long? And didn't anticipate Clark running at the first sign of not being Premier. She said she'd stand by her constituents, who didn't vote for her in the first place. NOPE. How is Premier Horgan going to call a sudden by-election.

No speaker yet.To call a by-election, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly tells the Chief
Electoral Officer that there is a vacancy in the Legislative Assembly, and the
Premier asks the Chief Electoral Officer to issue a writ of election to the District
Electoral Officer of the electoral district where the election is to be held.

Long enough to cause a loss of 4,500 jobs in LNG. And long enough to preside over a jump in the unemployment rate in BC from 5.1% to 5.3%. How long has it taken him to do that much damage? 3 weeks now?

OH no, the LNG was foot dragged by the Liberals for years, markets depressed, and you're still on with the NDP-at-fault narrative.
When are you going to give that up?

That sounds like a threat. I would be very careful making comments like this.

So Ben wins this riding and promptly resigns so that a helicopter MLA and Premier will have a safe riding to bully her way into than she gets ousted as premier and promptly quits and now Ben wants his job back. My question is, how much money have we paid out as a result of two individuals who are about a faithful to their constituents as a rabbit?

Re: Christy Clark to resign
There's a story on the CBC BC news page today (no discussion allowed) that tells us Christy's resignation means 'one less woman in Canadian politics'. Well, I'm here to tell you that it means a heck of a lot more than that to British Columbians who love their province. Christy's resignation is the best thing to happen to B.C. since1991.

Maybe he should wait until the Liberals vote in their new leader before calling the by-election. That way voters would be better informed when making their by-election vote. There is also a chance that the new leader of the BC Liberals does not currently hold a seat. So, they could run in Clark's vacant seat and save the taxpayers the cost of a second by-election and prevent another elected MLA from having to give up their seat like Ben Stewart did.
It's possible to do all the right things and still get a bad result.
