Yes. You can bet that when David Eby gets involved with an investigation, the results will become public shortly.

Dealing with problems has now been left up to the NDP , but they are hardly "responsible for any shortcomings" that occurred during the Liberal's watch. This scenario will undoubtedly play out countless times over the next few years.

Money laundering at BC casinos is hardly new news , or a big secret. The issue has been reported in main stream media many times over the past few years. I am confident that the previous government made some policy changes that were intended to curb the problem , but if it is still a problem , the policy changes weren't enough.

Sam Cooper is doing a great job with the heavy lifting here!! Kudos +++ to him.

Thankfully Rich Coleman isn't in government to put a stop to the RCMP investigation or stopping Peter German investigating this.

Lawyer Peter German, a former deputy commissioner of both the RCMP and Correctional Service Canada and the author of Canada's leading anti-money-laundering law textbook, has been asked to conduct the independent investigation.

"I am very convinced that Mr. German will be able to identify any issues we may have and make appropriate recommendations to me," said Eby.

And appreciation to the BC Government for ordering this investigation. Should have happened years ago!!!

Oh Lord. Nothing but NDP partisan politics and a certain poster that can't get over the fact that Christy had a cleavage. Is this the female version of small penis syndrome?

Too bad the journalist concerned, Sean Holman, did the asking not yesterday or last week, or even last spring, but instead way back in 2010:

Looks no one cares about the criminal activities sanctioned by the BC Liberals Rich Coleman in particular who simply allowed money laundering to continue after abolishing an RCMP investigation unit.

Do we really want to have criminals cleaning their ill gotten gains through our casinos and using that money to buy real estate that fuels Vancouver housing beyond what an ordinary person can afford???

Another take on laundering is at least the money is seeing the light of day again as it goes through the wash/rinse cycle.

Better than mattress stuffing, yes?
